Designed by Kata, the Manduka is a cafe with pure minimalist japanese interiors.
Decorated using natural colours and materials the interior is very inviting, comfortable, soft and it could make the visitors stay longer.
The exterior and interior work together with perfect harmony.
The designer uses wooden materials which, along with the brown paint planted on the wall, creates an atmosphere inside that feels warm and hearty.
The Manduka doesn't provide just an indoor space but aims to contrast an outdoor setting using palm trees and simplistic, clinical furnishings, which gives one a sense of coolness and freshness.

Colourful Themes To Support Creativity

This office starts from a basement of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church in Montreal before being turned into offices for Upperkut by Jean de Lessard.
Jean de Lessard was given something to achieve; an office bearing the dynamic characteristic, with a sense of unity, and easy to expand.
Even with more than 20 years of experience, it is not something usual for him.
Designing an office from a church basement is not an everyday business.
Firstly, the 380 square meter space was divided into four main areas: the president's office, the project managers' area, the studio, and the multi-function room linked by a corridor that acted as a central “spine” for the space.
The thing that stands out in this design is the blending of an art collection and graphic elements of the agency's Web site with the walls of the office.
This creates a sense of connection to what Upperkut does daily.
Many of the original elements of the church are still retained and preserved because it is still an active place that serves as a worship and cultural diffusion site, particularly for concerts.
The resulting design is a unique, strong, colorful office that was a perfect fit for the working team and for their creativity.

Conceptual Ideas

Interior means inside. Not necessarily of a house...
The following is a French concept car whose exterier gives the look of smallness and simplicity but whose shape gives the interior a lot of space to conceptualise.
.jpg)
In some ways, the minimality of the inside would make the space seem a lot bigger than it is.The fact that everything is kept to the edges focuses the space into the complete centre of all dimensions within the vehicle.
Where is the most space in a room? If it is the point where height, width and depth meet in the central most point, the room will automatically seem bigger.
How is this effect acheived? By keeping everything to the edge. Keeping things one colour blends them together so if everything in the room, like everything in the car, is green, there will be a synthesis of items and objects that revolve around a centre point. To balance out light, make all colours as symmetrical in the room as possible. To increase the height of the maximum space the room has to offer then put objects lower and vice versa. Use this rule in all dimensions and a small room might end up feeling more spacious than a bigger room that does not apply this concept.
